It's not well done, and I'm also very uncomfortable with the message this game is sending. The "I hate filthy greens" and that fact that it seems like if the camera pans over on you as you are getting attacked, you look like the victim even though you are committing assaults and murders left and right. Feel like you might be trying to make a statement that isn't at all accurate? I sincerely hope not, because I like having faith in humanity now and then.

Alon-Tzarafi responds:

Well in the game both the Green and the Blue are racist, which is (sadly) realistic in these types of conflicts.
I like having faith in humanity too, but sadly, nearly all of the mechanics are based on real events (watch my city of residence).
It's just a game about the more twisted aspects of humanity.

I didn't like this. There really was no point to it at all, and it really wasn't a game. While I understand that it is pixel art, it was really poorly done. Some of the objects, such as the fedora were really poorly represented. Also it should be noted that hipsters don't wear fedoras. They're lame, and only brony-atheists with neckbeards wear them.
There is no plot, barely any gameplay, the art could be a lot better, it's incredibly short, and honestly might as well be part of the spam collection.
Put a little work into something before you submit it please.

DoaTheJackalope responds:

no.

I am incredibly uncomfortable with the fact that this game was created by another user about 20 days before it was "created" by you. It's also available on the app store by someone who is not you. Seems fishy.

TreSensa responds:

Hi ohwhatawalrus, we are in agreement with Sun Temple to distribute their game, Block The Pig, as well as our other HTML5 games on Newgrounds. Thank you for your concern, though! We wouldn't want to see someone else's game published without permission, either.

Ehhh.... I was hoping for something better, especially since I actually am from Toronto. Not only has Rob Ford most definitely had more than 10 scandals, (just check out some of the racist and backwards things he says, his drunk driving miming, or his blatant homophobia, the crack use is just the tip of the ice berg) but the gameplay was repetitive. There is no variation in the jumps, and the graphics are terrible. 0/5 dude

McTaku responds:

Yea I'm from toronto also and this project was a complete joke lol no intention of being good because it was a satire piece for my Grd 10 English class a while back. Just thought some people could get a kick out of it x3

I had a lot of fun with this one!
It seemed to be at the perfect level of difficulty, as I find that often times escape games are either way too easy, or are pretty much impossible. I also liked how the graphics remained consistent, and that there was actual logic going on to solve the game. There was no National Treasure with Nic Cage kind of logic going on, so it was great! One of the first good escape games I've played in quite a while to be frank! :)

Aprime responds:

Haha, thank you very much! :)
Glad you thought the graphics remained consistent. Haven't seen many games whereby they don't but it's nice to know :3

Thanks for the review! xD

It is good in the respect that this is the first game you've made. (Also, props for using HTML5 instead of flash.) However, I'm not sure if newgrounds is necessarily the best place to put things like this up.
I've never watched the my little pony show, nor do I plan on it, ever, but I'm not totally sure how the plants and wizard fit in. Also, the font used on the menu made me cringe. Look up pictures of unique typography, and try showcasing your work a little better.
It's a great first attempt, however I think newgrounds is more about showcasing yourself as an independent game designer, and can help get you started and noticed in a company. You're off to a great start, but I don't think this should be uploaded here. I hope to see some of your stuff in the future though, practice makes perfect!

Luminem responds:

That's true, I think, the yours is the best review I've ever read. I'll try not to upload a poop here next time, I'll try to improve myself. Thank you very much from heart. :')

This isn't the place for this type of thing. And I don't think the game is really that fantastic anyway. You can play games just like this on facebook for free, and the graphics are better. Some of the items I was supposed to search for almost looked as if they were copied and pasted in the picture, as some of the textures looked off. It was also a bit off putting that your characters were of different detailing than the levels you created, it sort of clashed. The game just wasn't that interesting to convince me to pay 0.99 after playing it for a minute. Plus, this is newgrounds, and is not the place for this.

TreSensa responds:

Thanks for the feedback, ohwhatawalrus. This is our first hidden object game; we'll keep working at it. Please let us know what you think of our other games. We currently have 14 games on Newgrounds; the rest can be found here: www.mobilewebarcade.com

I understand you are new to creating games, but I'm not sure that Newgrounds is the place for uploading tests or first-time-designs. Newgrounds is all about showcasing your best stuff, and is open in the sense that you don't have to be part of a big gaming company in order to submit something.
The game is tiny, and there is no challenge to finding anything in the game, which I suppose it understandable because this is a test. I recommend that you take this time to fine tune your skills before uploading something. I'm sure there are plenty of people who you can PM to get advice on making games. Best of luck, and I hope to see more of your stuff in the future! :)

CheckeredStache responds:

Thank you, I will definitely take your advice and make some more finely tuned and challenging games before I upload them to Newgrounds.

Needs Work

There isn't a whole lot of selection and personalization available in this game, which is something that most avid dress up game lovers look for. I feel like this was rushed, but your art work is really good and I think if you took a little more time that this could be great.

Zeiphex responds:

Well, I didn't design it. As I said in the comments it was a commission. In other words, the commissioner chose what items they wanted, and I just followed their wishes. If I designed it myself then it would definitely have more personalisation options. Thank you for the comment. :)

I go to an art school, I make vectors, as well as non traditional art, which is basically weird stuff that I slap an art label on. I also do a little photography. Anti slut shaming, queer positive, socially awkward and five foot four inches of cool dude
